Our Hollow Family in Pics
Grandma and Grandpa Hollow, Alfred and Margaret, moved to Wangaratta from Rutherglen towards the end of 1918. They lived at two addresses in Wangaratta, Templeton Street and at 45 Ovens Street.
It was usual for the family to make it back to Wangaratta at some time over the Christmas New Year period. Many of these photos of the family members were taken there during these visits.
The earliest photos were taken in the 1930s. I am not sure who the photographer was. Three photos of Grandma and Grandpa were taken in the early 1940s. They had obviously dressed up for some occasion and a photographer, possibly Aunty Ivy, was on hand to take them.

Wangaratta Trips
There were many trips to Wangaratta to see Grandma, and be photographed with her. It seems a camera was never far away whenever some of the family met together.

The Cousins
Many of the families' visits to Wangaratta and other family homes were a chance to photograph the cousins together.

Swimming
When in Wangaratta one of the most popular activities was swimming. In the days before the Olympic Pool we swam at Merriwa Park which has the King River flowing through it. Some classic family photos were taken here.
